A Healthy and Fun Snack for Busy Adults
The Challenge
As Yips was trying to grow and make it onto more store shelves, they unfortunately ran into more than one issue with their existing brand. 1) They weren't sure who their target consumer was. Was Yips to be a healthy, fun snack for adults or a nutritious sweet treat for kids? And 2) The product itself is so unique that consumers didn't know what to expect when trying it.




The Approach
As playful and delicious as Yips are, it was clear after a few strategy sessions that the main focus was on health. By putting that foot forward, they would also be able to get into more high-end stores and charge a premium price. So with that as our focus, I created a logo that reflected the excitement of the brand combined with a new sophistication that it didn't have before. I created playful illustrations and straightforward icons that reflected what was in the product. And on the package we made sure to highlight what consumers should expect front and center: Crunchy. Creamy. Sweet.
